Barn Swallow Farm

We have loved being Farmbox members of Barn Swallow Farm, because we enjoy the fresh, local produce, right off the vine and are able to choose just what we want! Our family also enjoys going to the farm to help out and to create our own bouquet from the beautiful U-pick flower garden.

We would highly recommend Barn Swallow Farm’s farm box subscription if you enjoy your typical veggies and also like trying something a little new or different. There is great variety!

The Farmbox subscription has been such an amazing experience. The half-share was a great option for my family of 3 and the ability to have fresh veggies every other week from a local farmer has been a game changer for me. I appreciate the quality that Barn Swallow provides as well as the variety. I have learned to cook with new ingredients as they come into season and it has been fun to experiment!

Barn Swallow does community so well, always looking to bring in other small businesses and collaborate with others working towards the same goal in South Bend. Their attention to detail, service, sustainability, and kindness have all added to my experience and have made me a loyal customer!

Farmbox is like a Christmas present that you get to open all summer long! Each week (or in my case every other week since I get a half-share) I get to pick up my Christmas present and excitedly find out what’s inside!

Sometimes I find some of my usual vegetables, but freshly picked by someone I trust to grow vegetables with similar values to me. Sometimes I find some vegetables that I don’t tend to buy often, but am excited to add back into my diet. And other times I find a vegetable I have never heard of, but Dan calms my anxiety by giving me tips on how to prepare!

For vegetable aficionados, it doesn’t get any better than this!!!
